Documentary Family photography

Gold Coast Family photographer | Kingscliff Beach

When you’re thinking about family photos you don’t have to feel limited to wandering around the beach at sunset particularly if you have kids (or a hubby) who would most likely roll their eyes at the mere mention of a photoshoot! Instead, pick an activity you all enjoy doing together, whether it’s skateboarding, bike riding, surfing or even ball sports please bring those props along! Not only does it make your session loads of fun, but it also gives everyone the opportunity to be themselves which helps to eliminate those awkward feelings in front of the camera and allows for more spontaneous moments to unfold naturally.

That’s exactly what Tracey and her family did for their session at Kingscliff Beach where I met them on a beautiful sunny afternoon. They brought a couple of skateboards along and we cruised around the esplanade together before heading down to the ocean to chill out and soak up the last light of the sunset. Below are some of the highlights from the afternoon and each one of these images just radiates so much warmth, happiness and good times which perfectly sums up the vibe of this ocean loving family!!

I love nothing more than documenting authentic moments for families and the fact that all these moments are captured on 35mm film truly is just the cherry on top of what was an epic afternoon with the Ireland crew!

I love to travel from the Gold Coast to Byron Bay, so wherever you are get in touch and let’s plan the perfect session for your family!!
