I’m ready, how do I book?

First get in touch with me via the Contact page booking form, let me know a little about you and your ideal session date.

Once we have decided on a date that fits both of us, I will set you up in my client portal where you can access your questionnaire, invoice and contract. Once the retainer of $100 is paid and the contract is signed your date is secured.

Your questionnaire will help me get to know you, so please give me as much detail about your family as you can! The more you open up the more the better your experience will be because it will be as if I already know you!

Where are you based?

I live in Murwillumbah in Northern NSW, and I include 60 minutes of travel time in my session fee. However, I love exploring new areas, so if you’re from further abroad I just ask you to pay for my travel expenses.

How do I choose a location?

I truly love both indoor home sessions and outdoor sunset sessions so much! So it really depends on what you want your photos to represent.

Your home is where your heart is, and it’s where so many of our memories are made. In home sessions are a truly special way of documenting your family exactly as you are, the beautiful chaos and all the little details and give you photos that really are a snippet in time. It is also where your little ones feel safe and content, so if you want intimate photos without distractions a home session could be perfect you

Outdoor sessions are wild and adventurous, and sunset is the most perfect time to be outdoors not only for the golden light (which is magical) but just being in nature as the day turns into night and watching as your little ones explore and play is truly mesmerising. We are also spoilt for choice when it comes to beautiful locations in Northern NSW and I have a list of favourite spots up my sleeve, but I am more than happy to head out on an adventure and find somewhere new as well!

How many people can be in a session?

Up to 6 people including kids and adults. For extended family there is an extra fee.

I am super awkward in front of the camera, how can I feel more natural?

Don’t think of it as being a photoshoot, focus on your family and just enjoy running around or snuggling up with your kids. I will give you gentle guidance, but mostly I want to document your natural emotions so don’t be afraid to love on each other and most of all just have fun.

What do I wear?

The most important thing is to wear something you love and feel comfortable in. There is a high chance I will have you run through fields, or get in the water with your little babes.

Search through your wardrobe for an old favourite you haven’t worn for a while, or by all means spoil yourself with a new dress, but don’t buy something you will never wear again!!

Try to avoid matchy – matchy and stick to a simple colour palette (I am a total sucker for neutrals as they photograph beautifully!) Ultimately though, I want you to be the feature of your photos not your clothes.

If you still need some help, I’ve written up a little guide to styling your clothes. Enter your email to download the guide, we’ll also sign you up for our monthly newsletter which lets you know about upcoming mini sessions, giveaways and more.

What happens during a shoot?

I like to take a documentary approach when I shoot, so usually the first half of the session is me following you guys around getting to know you a little and letting the kids play and explore.

While I’m not an overly posey photographer, I will guide you into the perfect light and give you some gentle direction and prompts so you aren’t left completely stranded wondering what to do with your hands!

Mostly though, I’m there to document the in-between moments (these are the magic shots!) towards the end of the session when your littles are worn out is when I love to wind down, get everyone snuggled up and capture all the beautiful intimate moments.

When I can see my photos after the shoot?

Usually it’s 1-2 weeks after the session. In peak time is can be up to three weeks.
