A day in the life of a gold coast photographer

Film photographer | 35mm film | Gold Coast Photographer

As a film photographer, some of the most unforgettable moments I’ve captured of my family have been the ones that were the most chaotic and unscripted, the tender moments of everyday life that we so often take for granted. Life is not a pristine, perfect Instagram feed. It's full of mess, chaos, and imperfections. And yet, it's the very essence of those imperfect moments that make it all worth capturing.

Perhaps the reason I love using 35mm film to document my own family, and why it is my medium of choice as a film photographer to capture your family too, is the way it embraces imperfection. It's also the thrill of not knowing what you've captured; there is a level of patience because you don't get that instant gratification. And it just makes the reward of your images all the more wonderful to enjoy. In today's world, we're bombarded with images that are polished, perfect, and heavily edited. But that's not what real life looks like. Real life is raw, chaotic, and full of imperfections. And that's precisely what makes it beautiful.
